I am reading The American Heiress, a New York Times Bestseller, published in 2010. It’s a novel about Cora Cash a young American woman in 1893. She’s the daughter of America’s richest man, but that’s not enough for Cora’s mother. Cora’s life changes when the two travel to England to find a titled husband. And when Cora becomes entangled in the complicated old-world upper class, she learns she must become something else to rise above these aristocratic traps.
I’m in the mood to read something light and think this will do the trick. I’m sure a story about a rich and beautiful young woman whose last name happens to be “Cash” will be entertaining and fun!
