Bio: David Richman is a Canadian author, writing an upper middle grade series he started for his son, a reluctant reader at the time. David has been happily married for thirty years and has four teenage children and two Bernese Mountain Dogs. He was born in Oakville, Ontario, but grew up in Prince Rupert and Kamploops B.C. He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta, where he works as a self-employed Automation Engineering Technologist.

David’s first book is Awesome Indies approved, and a B.R.A.G. Medallion Honouree. This spring, the novel took first place in the Juvenile category in the National Indie Excellence Awards.

Favorite thing about being a writer: Being a writer is cool, because I live the moment I’m writing, which means my life is more exciting than most people would wish for.

Biggest challenge as an indie author: I can never find enough time to write.

Favorite book: The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
