Favorite thing about being a writer: I love creating worlds and filling them with characters that are memorable as they make their way through the most bizarre twists and turns that I create. When I’m ready to batten down the hatches and dig in for the long haul of the process of writing a book, I can’t wait to get started. The positive reviews that have followed are affirmation for me that I have chosen the correct path of becoming an author.
Biggest challenge as an indie author: Clearly, the biggest challenge is finding your target audience, and no…it’s not everybody. Marketing is a work in progress, and it’s up to the authors to bring their books to the attention of the world. The number of authors and books creates saturation on the internet, so you have to constantly tell the world about your books until the readers take that task away from you.
Favorite books: Anything by Stephen King. Gerald’s Game and Mr. Mercedes come to mind.
