Love this! You are not alone…
Thank you very much! Yes, I think we all have lots of books we are planning to read, but haven’t been able to yet! Thanks for watching.
Barbara, good luck putting these all back in place before your family comes back! I too have lots of books I haven’t read yet and they tend to make me tense and guilty! Charity shops have so many cheap good books for sale it’s hard to resist! You’re the second person today to mention Grisham and although I used to be addicted his books I haven’t read any in a while … sounds as if I’m missing out! Love the video and the homily feeling of just chilling out, chatting all about books! Perfect! 😀
Thank you so much, Annika! It’s hard to pass up a great price on a book, isn’t it? And we will read those books eventually! Well I managed to get them all back, unnoticed, but it was close and they are not organized anymore. Thanks very much for watching!
Oh gosh, I was just looking at my overflowing shelves this morning, Barbara. If I stacked all of my books and sat in front of the camera, you wouldn’t be able to see me! My biggest problem are my craft books…I have tons! Great video! 🙂
Oh wow, craft books – well you must keep those because you need them to refer back to! Thanks for watching, Jill. Still figuring things out, but having fun!
Well, I’ve read Old Yeller, that Norton Anthology and plenty of Grisham. Most of the books I keep are favourites and classics I haven’t read yet. Nice post, Barbara!
Thanks Jennifer – I think I must have read both Old Yeller and The Yearling. They are so unrelated, but were connected in my not-always-clear mind! Thanks for watching!
Having all those unread books means you will live a long time, since you have unfinished business. 🙂
Haha – so I’ll tell my family that my longevity requires a trip to the bookstore!
I have many that I haven’t read. I will never have to buy another. Interestingly, when we moved here four years ago, I was actually ready to give them all up, but my wife insisted I kept them and we converted the garage to take them: https://derrickjknight.com/2015/11/08/the-garage-frontage/
Your wife is a wise woman! And what a nice library you have now. I know how hard it is to move with books, though, so I understand. We are preparing to downsize, so every time I bring in a book, I have to hide it. Thanks very much for visiting and following my blog!
