A shout out to blog commenters

Happy New Year!

In the world of blogging, reader comments are gold. I’ve talked about this before, but it’s worth repeating. When someone takes the time to leave a thoughtful comment on our blogs, it’s an affirmation of our efforts.

So I thank everyone who has left a comment on Book Club Mom. I’ve made many friends this way. And if you don’t already know some of these great bloggers, visit their links below and say hi!

    1. You’re welcome! By the way, we got a bird feeder at Christmas but it’s a hummingbird hook and the nighttime critters got to the seeds right away. So we’re going to get the hummingbird tube feeder for the warmer weather. Do you know when can we put that out?

  1. I totally agree! Thanks for all your support and for including me. I’m glad to have met you through blogging and looking forward to out future conversations. ♥️

  2. Thank you for including me in this wonderful list, Barbara. I couldn’t agree with you more. Comments are the chocolate and cherries of blogging.

    1. You’re welcome, Jan. I enjoy visiting your blog and I also enjoy your comments on mine. I had a little trouble figuring out how to get to your blog from mine, but I finally found my way. Happy blogging!

  3. Barbara, when I started blogging I had no idea of the warm friendships and support I would discover along the way … and all through the comments. This is the real gem of blogging and you can never repeat this fact too often! Many thanks for including my name. hugs xx

  4. Yay! I feel so famous now :)) I always love seeing and replying to my own readers’ comments, even if I’m terribly about getting a bit shy when it comes to commenting on other blogs.

  5. I don’t always do as good a job at commenting as I’d like to. While my online personality is a little more outgoing than in real life, I still find myself struggling with what to say. And thank you for all your comments, as well! It does always make my day to see a notification that someone has liked or commented on my posts 🙂

    1. Hi Stephanie – I know what you mean about not always knowing what to say on other people’s blogs. Sometimes I’ll like a post, but not comment because I don’t always have something to say. That’s especially true with the more serious blogs that include personal things. But if it has to do with books and it’s a subject I can contribute to, I try to say something worthwhile! Thanks so much for all your support – I really enjoy your blog and the way you talk about the books you’ve read! So fun!

  6. Hi Barbara, thanks so much for including me. I’m truly honored! As you know, I’m on a break, but I’m popping in to check comments. I owe you a reply from an earlier comment, too. Anyway, this 8-year journey has afforded me many wonderful friendships, yours as one of them and I’m so grateful to have met you! I hope you had a wonderful holiday, and now I wish you a new year filled with much Love, Peace, and Possibilities. xo

  7. Thanks for the shout out to commenters and the inclusion! And I’d like to thank all those bloggers who reply to comments. I’m always amazed when I read a blogpost and see someone’s comment that begs a response just hanging out for a week, a month or years. I know that people get busy, but I wonder why some bloggers have the comment feature activated if they don’t intend to respond. So thanks for all your responses and Buon Anno!

    1. I know. I recently followed a very popular blog, with tons of comments, but none were by the blogger, so there was no interaction. I very much enjoy the interaction. Sometimes it takes me a few days to get back and reply, but it’s usually because of my work schedule. Thanks for taking the time to visit me, Karen! Happy New Year!
