A few weeks ago my son told me about a fun phone app for book lovers called Litsy. I wasn’t sure I wanted to get into more social media. We all know what a time drain it can be. But because I only use social media for my blog, I thought it might be a good fit without taking up a lot of my time.
I was right!
Litsy is a fun way to share books and book reviews and you can link your posts to your blog and include links in your profile. It’s bright and colorful and easy to use. It’s also very friendly, which is something that is important to me.
Here’s how Litsy describes itself:
The only thing that matches the joy of reading is sharing that joy with others. That’s why we created Litsy. Founded in 2015 by the bibliophiles who brought you Out of Print, Litsy is a place to organize, interact with, and document all things books. LibraryThing took over the reins at Litsy in 2018.
I’m having a lot of fun with Litsy and I like how it complements my WordPress blog. While it’s currently only available on your phone (for both iPhones and androids), you can check out their website and sign up for their newsletter at litsy.com. You might like it too!
Are you on Litsy?
Thanks for visiting – come back soon!
Reblogged this on newauthoronline.
Thanks for the reblog!
This is my first time hearing about Litsy. I should check it out.
I haven’t heard of this before! I love Goodreads, but like to get my reviews out there so I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of Litsy, Barbara. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting! Thanks.
I haven’t heard of this either…something NEW for me to check out. THanks!
Might check it out
NIce tip. Thanks!
Ahhhh I don’t need another social media!! Haha but this sounds amazing so I want to try it anyway 😀 Especially if it was designed by the same people who created Out of Print! I love their stuff ❤
I know isn’t that neat? It’s pretty low key and fun to check out during those lulls of the day! Thanks for stopping by!
I haven’t tried Litsy, or even heard of it before. Thanks for letting me know about it!
Oh no, not another social media. Why, why did you do this to me, Barbara!!?? It’ll be interesting to see how it competes with Goodreads and LibraryThing and the other dinosaurs of the book review sites.
Sorry, Tammie 😬😉. I’m having fun with Litsy – very friendly and easy. Thanks for reading!
I’ll check this out, but only if it’s easy to use and not time-consuming!
I know what you mean – it’s definitely only as time-consuming as you want it to be – I find it relaxing to scroll through what other people are reading. Thanks for stopping by, Noelle. Happy writing and reading! 🙂
I have not heard of this app, Barbara. It does sound interesting.
Hi Robbie – it’s an easy app to use and not too time consuming – that’s a good thing! Thanks for stopping by.
Interesting! I’ll have to check this out.
Hi Lorilin – you should definitely check it out – I think it’s a lot of fun. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Thanks for sharing. I’ll check it out.
