Woke up Christmas morning to pouring rain and green fields… In 50s here most of the day. It’s sure been a crazy year! 💞 Sending holiday hugs and wishes for a blessed and beautiful 2021! xo
Hi Bette – yes it rained here in PA on Christmas – we were inside anyway so it was okay. Happy New Year and thanks for the visit!
And a Merry Christmas to you as well. All the best in 2021. Cheers!
Your blog is always informative and very often inspirational. Thanks for all this, Barbara! And especially for publishing a review of Mennonite Daughter earlier this year.
Before the library closed for the holiday, I checked out 7 books + others to catch up on my Kindle. No FOROOB (fear of running out of books) for me.
A few Alexander McCall Smith “Scotland” series books, some inspiration from Joyce Meyer: Unshakable Trust and Get Your Hopes Up + Daniel Defoe’s Journal of the Plague Year, which I may use in a blog post soon. Of the 7, I cast 1-2 aside, as I often do, because I just can’t get into them. Earlier, I did enjoy You Are Not Alone by Hendircks and Pekannen, my foray into suspense/thriller genre.
Hi Marian – I read the first No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith years ago. Now I feel so far behind I don’t know where to pick up. What is the Scotland series like?
I don’t see another “reply” so this may be out of sync, Barbara. About the Scotland series, you don’t have to remember much to enjoy your next choice months or years later. It’s light reading, so not much remembering or prior knowledge required.
Hi Jeff – and Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by – I hope you are doing well and had a nice holiday. Looking forward to slowing down a bit and curling up with a book, or two!
