Impressive library, Barbara.
Oh thank you, John! The books always stay in order, too 😉
I believe that. 😊
I agree with John. VERY impressive!
Oh thank you! It’s pretty easy to maintain 😉
Ooh that’s such a BEAUTIFUL library!! X
Haha – thank you, Books and Bakes 🙂
The library looks great! I read that book many years ago. You’ll enjoy it. By the way, Derek loves your t-shirt. He played lacrosse in college. 🙂
Thank you, Jill! The shirt was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my son, but they sent a ladies shirt instead, so I grabbed it. What position did Derek play? My kids all played. It’s a fun sport to watch! 🥍
The wall tapestry looks great; I was present for the unveiling.
As a matter of fact, I read the book when it first came out. We live less than 4 hours south of Savannah and have observed the moss-hung oaks. I predict you’ll love the book. If you get to Savannah, visit Clary’s restaurant, where John Berendt is said to have written much of his manuscript.
Oh thank you, Marian. That’s great information about Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil! Our mystery book club at work is reading it for April. Have you seen the movie?
I believe I have.
I love true crime! Definitely going to check this one out. Love the new library. 😉
Hi Mischenko. I haven’t read a lot of true crime, other than In Cold Blood and a few others. Do you have a favorite? Thanks for the visit!
I would recommend The Stranger Beside Me, I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, and also If I Can’t Have You which is the story of Susan Powell. There are so many good ones and many on my list. 😉
Great – thank you, Mischenko! 🙂
Your description of the book’s likening to a novel reminds me of Truman Capote’s ‘In Cold Blood’
Hi Derrick, yes, I thought the same thing as I was reading the book jacket. In Cold Blood is an excellent book, the first true nonfiction novel. Thanks for the visit!
The tapestry looks amazingly very real. I’ll have to check this book out, sounds interesting.
I was thinking the same thing when I watched the video. It’s weird because it looks pretty fake up close. I’m very happy with it. So bookish 🙂 Thanks for the visit!
I think you will enjoy the book. The movie was very good too. I also love the library backdrop.
Thank you, Darlene. It’s a fun way of feeling like I’m in a room full of books, even when I’m in our basement 🙂
I read this years ago, and as I recall enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
Looking forward to it – hopefully I can do a lot of reading over the weekend. Thanks for the visit, Alethea!
🙂
Hi Barbara. I look forward to your review on that one. Cute tapestry!
Hi Jennifer – thank you. I just finished it and am hoping to get a post out today. Thanks!
