It was amazing – like two people were playing the piano. I would never be able to do that. Well done!!
Oh thank you, Darlene! I had to just let it go even with the mistakes because I feel like it’s never going to be perfect. So much going on! I really appreciate you watching π§‘π§‘π§‘
I remember the strain of playing contrapuntal music. Awesome, Barb! I did comment on you YouTube channel also. π
Thanks, Marian – it’s definitely an exercise and a good way to escape the hectic world!
What a thoughtful sister you have! Thank you for filming this! The tune sounded familiar and I knew I had a book of Bach’s “Inventions and Sinfonias”…somewhere. It’s been years since I have pulled it out, but after watching your video, I went and found it. Invention 8 had notations from my former piano teacher, so I know I learned it too…WAY back in the day. The notations said “even timing” “Clear tones, accents & listening” “staccatos”. Ha! Thanks again for the mini concert. You did great! Maybe I’ll have to try and see if I can plunk through it again. Take care!
Hi Lenore – oh that’s great! I also had my former piano teacher’s notes on Number 8, but I didn’t remember it at all. It’s like doing a puzzle and I do like getting lost in it and getting away when life gets hectic. Thank you for watching and commenting. Maybe we can do a virtual duet! πΉπΉ π
What a lovely piece! Thanks for playing for us – well done! And such a lovely little surprise to inspire you. π
Thank you, Lynette – I don’t think it’s ever going to be perfect, especially with an audience, so I just decided to go for it. And I’m happy to have my little statue to encourage me π
Great that you have Bach observing as you play now! You did a very nice job of that piece, Barbara. Keep it up! π
Thank you, Tim! Still a work in progress! I appreciate you watching!
Awesome. I love your Bach statue. My husband gave me a statue of Einstein playing the violin and a statue of Schroeder playing the piano. The two statues sit on my piano. Love your bravery to play your piano on video. Excellent job. You go girl.
Thank you so much, Grace! Your statues sound wonderful π
Beautiful!
Oh thank you so much! A few mistakes but sometimes you just have to put it out there π
HI Barbara, you are really getting good with your piano. I left you a comment on YT.
Thank you, Robbie – I really appreciate you watching π
